If you are a beginner lash artist, this blog is for you. If you've been lashing for a while, you may find new products that can become useful or a new favorite product. When I was a beginner lash artist, I was overwhelmed with everything I needed to purchase to get started. I remember doing my first few clients (Thank God it was my family) and I didn't have everything I needed. I was stressed out. I want to make your journey as stress-free as possible so I will include links so you can purchase straight from this blog.
Lash Room

When you are starting out, it is important to have a great setup. The first thing to look for is a lash bed. I went through a few lash beds at the beginning of my lash journey but, I personally like to use a recliner. My clients seem more comfortable and fall asleep which makes lashing a lot easier. If clients are not comfortable, they fidget a lot which makes it harder to lash and some clients may not return.
Make sure to look for a chair that is comfortable for you. There are so many different ones to choose from, such as, saddle stools, round stools, or stools with backs. There are seat cushions for the stools you can purchase to make them more comfortable.
Now, let's talk about lighting! Here are a couple lights that I have purchased and love. The CosmoGlo light curves and lights up all parts of the eye. Glamcor light has many different styles of lighting and fans. The lights have flexible arms and you are able to move them to suit your lighting needs. I highly recommend both of these!!
Lash Products
Making sure you have quality products will help make lashing easier for you. Finding a great primer, bonder, and especially glue is a game changer. It will help with retention and make your clients happy. The glue I use is oil-resistant and has been a saving grace for me.
You can never have enough tweezers. The worst thing that could happen is you drop a pair as you are lashing and they get ruined (trust me, It happens). You'll need at least one backup pair. I tried many tweezers before I found the ones I loved. You'll need isolation tweezers, classic tweezers, and volume tweezers. Now, these are just a few that I prefer. There are so many style to choose from. Also, for volume tweezers, I like to use fiber tweezers so be sure to check those out.
Here are a few more items to purchase:
